David Carson
David served as the first President of the S. June Smith Foundation, when it was formed in 1993. Since then, he has served on the Foundation Board at various times. He was also a member of the S. June Smith Center Board from 1990 – 2010, including serving as President.
He is self-employed as a Lawyer and a Certified Public Accountant. David received his B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University, his J.D. from Widener University School Of Law and his LL.M. from Villanova University School of Law.
David resides in Lititz Borough with wife, Linda, and three children Vanessa, Drew, and Stephanie. Vanessa was a student at S. June Smith Center. His son, Vincent, is a pediatric neurologist medical doctor, helping children with special needs.
Holly Filius
Holly has served on the Board of Directors for the S. June Smith Center Foundation for more than a decade. Holly has been an integral part of the annual Gala committee and is proud of the tremendous growth in attendance and donations throughout the years. She is passionate about helping to raise funds for the S. June Smith Center programs.
Holly is a Partner of Russell, Krafft & Gruber, LLP. A significant portion of Holly’s legal practice involves helping families and individuals in all matters of Family Law. She also has extensive experience assisting individuals and families throughout the adoption process, representing clients in agency adoptions, international adoptions and private adoptions. In addition, she also advises clients on Estate Planning and Estate Administration matters.
She is active in numerous community and professional groups, has served on the Board of Directors of The Pennsylvania State Foster Parent Association and as a member of the Women in Business Committee of the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Holly currently serves on the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She resides in West Lampeter Township with her husband, John, and their two children.
Cathy Kaschak
Cathy Kaschak has owned and operated Lancaster Payroll Service since 1984. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce and was recently on the board of the Solanco Education Foundation and was the Assistant Treasurer for SCORE.
Cathy graduated from Manheim Township and Penn State with a degree in retail management. She and her husband, Bob, live in Providence Township and have successfully raised 3 amazing sons and have 2 beautiful grandchildren. She and her husband are members of Ascension Lutheran Church in Willow Street.
Matt Long
Matt has been serving on the S. June Smith Foundation Board of Directors since 2013 and currently serves as the Board President. Prior to joining the Foundation Board, he was actively involved with the S. June Smith Center. During his time on the Board of Directors for the Center, he served on various committees and he completed a term as Treasurer.
Matt is currently employed by Ephrata National Bank as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the ENB Team, Matt worked for almost twenty years with Susquehanna Bank, most recently as a Vice President of Cash Management.
He is a graduate of Grove City College where he received his B.S. in Financial Management. Additionally, he is a 2014 graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s Advanced School of Banking where he graduated with High Honors and was awarded the Dr. Philip O. Benham, Jr. Leadership Award.
Matt currently resides in the Lampeter-Strasburg school district with his wife, Paula, and their two children.
Julie Miller
Julie is the secretary of the S. June Smith Foundation Board of Directors. She is a partner with the law firm of Russell, Krafft & Gruber, LLP. Prior to attending law school, Julie worked as a legislative research analyst for the Health and Human Services Committee of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. While attending the Dickinson School of Law she was recognized by the Miller Center for Public Interest Advocacy for her work with the school’s Family Law Clinic. Following graduation, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph C. Madenspacher of the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County. Julie practices in the areas of family law, collaborative law, municipal and zoning/land use law.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She is a member at Lititz Moravian Church and coaches her daughter’s soccer team.
Ann Shenk
Ann has served on the S. June Smith Foundation Board of Directors as Treasurer since 2011. She has also served on committees for the S. June Smith Center’s annual Gala.
She is a Certified Public Accountant at Trout Ebersole & Groff, LLP and serves on the firm’s Business, Multistate, Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Practice Groups. Ann graduated from the College of William and Mary with a B.B.A. degree in Finance. She lives in Lancaster with her three children and is a Member of the vestry of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster
